GiantLeaps wins PwC Social Impact Lab
Yesterday, Tuesday September 25th, GiantLeaps won the jury prize in the international PwC Social Impact Lab. 10 start-ups from the Netherlands, Turkey, Germany and Austria competed in the finals for the prize of €5000,- and two years of mentoring and coaching by PwC.
The competition started this summer. Over 190 start-ups applied. The business case had to have a social or ecological impact and be interesting for PwC and its partners. After three selection rounds, 10 start-ups made it to the grand finale held in BlueCity in Rotterdam. Each participating social enterprise gave a three minute pitch for the jury and audience. GiantLeaps was crowned as one of the winners, taking home the jury prize.
We’re extremely happy and proud of winning yesterday. This prize is an extra validation of what we are doing, and the mentoring by PwC comes at a perfect moment as we are about to launch our GiantLeaps Impact Calculation Tool in 2019. Many thanks to PwC, the jury and of course the other finalists who each have inspiring and meaningful ventures that really deserve to make it in their journey towards impact!
